Heath Consultants is pleased to announce Doug Martin, Leakage Supervisor, NW Natural, was named as the recipient of the 2021 Milton W. Heath Sr. Memorial Award at the American Gas Association’s Operations Conference & Biennial Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions toward the detection, prevention and repair of natural gas leaks.

Doug was recognized for his dedication and early adoption of remote methane laser technology in leakage surveys which significantly improved the safety of NW Natural’s customers and communities. He also played an integral role in the development of enhanced training for NW Natural’s first responders in understanding gas migration and migration mitigation using ventilation techniques.
