As a rapidly growing, family-owned company, Heath Consultants Incorporated (Heath) is focused on creating and maintaining a safe family atmosphere for our employees. We lead the industry in the natural gas sector by providing high quality services and products utilizing cutting-edge technology. Our goal of constant development and innovation is present in everything we do.
A brief company history
Heath’s roots stem from Salem, MA, where in 1933 trees were dying, which led the city to consult with our founder, Milton W. Heath Sr. with New England Forestry Service Company to investigate the cause. The forestry company later became Heath Consultants after investigation led to the first gas leak report by any contract service company in the United States.
It was discovered the trees had been dying from methane emissions, and because methane emissions are key to greenhouse gas, our mission as Heath is to detect these emissions and work with our utility partners to minimize environmental impact.
As leadership was passed from the second to third-generation, we look to Milton W. Heath Jr.’s strong narrative of developing relationships with our employees and instilling the sense of community within the workplace. As we continue to grow, we are rooted in the legacy of compassion for others and work to continue an employee-centric atmosphere in his honor.
With the third and current generation of leadership we realized a competitive advantage in becoming certified as a women’s business enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). This realization has led to additional opportunities and the rapid expansion of added services, such as underground utility line locating, meter and corrosion services to our utility partners outside of our core emissions reduction focus.
In keeping with Milton Heath, Jr.’s legacy of compassion for all, our goal is to give back and better the communities we serve. We work within our communities by planning and executing a number of initiatives to benefit our employees and the less fortunate.
