Gas Delivery Unit (GDUnet)

The GDUnet automates the essential task of regular instrument bump testing and calibration, ensuring that the Gasurveyor family of instruments are functioning correctly. GDUnet can be wall mounted or freestanding on a workbench and is connected to cylinders of calibration gas to ensure that a consistent standard can be maintained against which the instrument can be tested. All bump test and calibration results are automatically saved to a SQL database, using GMI’s innovative Instrument Management System (IMS) software. Fleet management is assured and compliance is simplified.

Magna-Lock ™

The Magna-Lock ferromagnetic locator is used to find valve box lids, curb valves and manhole covers. This locator provides top of the line magnetic locating including our new push-button “erase” feature and power line indicator, providing greater flexibility and enhanced performance.

Gasurveyor 500 Series

The Gasurveyor 500 Series is the most flexible range of gas detectors available from GMI. By simple selection of hardware and software options, the instrument can be readily configured to suit any department, including Construction, Leak Survey and Customer Service. Available ranges can be selected including PPM through LEL and Volume Gas, Oxygen, CO, and H2S to ensure that your exact requirements are met. All of the Gasurveyor 500 Series are dual mode instruments, making them suitable for both surveying work and confined space.

Detecto Pak-Infrared+ (DP-IR+™)

The DP-IR+ is the latest generation of leak survey instruments from Heath that will greatly improve the productivity and safety of a walking/ mobile survey because of high sensitivity and fast response. It is an extremely sensitive, advanced leak detector capable of detecting methane without false alarming on other gases. The DP-IR+ operates under a variety of environmental conditions including cold or hot weather. Its rugged design will stand up to normal field use and operating conditions.

Gas Leak Detection Solution

Leak Detection Solution is the simplest and most economical visual gas leak detector for exposed surfaces. Simply spray on gas lines, cylinders, appliances – any pressurized gas container or conduit. Bubbles appear at leak sites, remain for 15-30 minutes. The solution is available in a case of four; one gallon containers.

Personal Surveyor (PS200 Series)

A robust and accurate portable gas detector, the Personal Surveyor PS200 Series provides unrivalled protection in confined space applications with audible and visual alarms in the event of exposure to flammable or toxic gases. The PS200 Series detects all possible combinations of LEL, O2, CO, H2S, including single gas detection. In addition to displaying all gas readings simultaneously, the user can also initiate a manual bump test anytime. Pre-entry checking can be carried out with the optional internal sampling pump, and diffusion operation ensuring maximum battery life in confined spaces.

Mask Spray Deodorant

This mask spray deodorant instantly deodorizes natural gas and propane odorants. It is used with spills or accidental releases of odorants only. Mask spray is available in Island Mist and Strawberry scents.

Odor Buster

Odor Buster completely eliminates trace odor and stain causing organics which are the root source of odors. It is non-toxic, non-acidic and non-alkali. It contains surfactants that remove much of the organic matter like any other cleaner-odor neutralizers. However, unlike other products the bacterial organisms remain behind after the cleaning process is finished and Odor Buster contains no environmentally harmful chemicals.


ODORATOR 2™ - Odor Intensity Test Instrument

The Heath ODORATOR 2 is an odorization survey audit system or odor intensity test instrument that with proper use fulfills D.O.T. Code 192.625 requirements. This state-of-the-art, portable, electronic, GNSS based audit system is an ideal tool for customer service personnel and other individuals determining odor intensity levels within a gas distribution or transmission systems.

Odorator ®

The Odorator is an ideal tool for customer service personnel and other individuals for evaluating odor levels in gas distribution or transmission systems. This instrument is designed for ease of operation and interpretation. It is lightweight yet rugged for field use.

Plunger Bars

Heath Plunger Bars are specially designed to outperform all others. Plunger Bars have a fitted piston rod for maximum safety and dependability as well as a unique piston action for easy removal of the rod. The Plunger Bar is ideal for a number of applications including, test holes, sub-soil determination, tree feeding, and temporary grounding rods.


The Wireless Assessment and Training Checker or Watcher is designed for hands-on hazardous or gas emergency training. The Watcher utilizes a Bluetooth enabled tablet to wirelessly control specially adapted portable gas detectors from GMI to simulate actual situations with the equipment . Complete gas detector operation can be controlled remotely. This invaluable accessory is simple to use and can be used for all types of training and assessment to ensure personnel respond correctly in all aspects of gas detection.

Split-Lock ™

This locator is half the physical size of a standard split-box pipe and cable locator. Lightweight and easy to store, the Split-Lock fits easily into a tool compartment, tool chest, or behind the seat of your truck. This small sized locator performs big when it comes to locating. The Split-Lock is ideal for shallow buried metallic objects like valve boxes, manhole covers and curb valves.

Sure-Lock ® All Pro ™

Heath’s best selling locator is designed to suit all your locating needs in a simple to use two button instrument. The Sure-Lock All Pro consists of an integrated receiver and transmitter which allows you to configure the optimal frequency to best locate all underground utilities quickly and reliably. The continuous depth reading is constantly displayed on the receiver as you near the target conductor. The All Pro offers frequencies ranging from 8.1K to 480 kHz which are optimal for audio, radio and ultra-high frequency targets such as cable and insulated pipe.

Optical Methane Detector (OMD™)

The Optical Methane Detector (OMD) uses advanced infrared technology to conduct mobile inspections of buried natural gas distribution, transmission, and gathering pipelines. The OMD is front mounted on a vehicle and calibrated by the driver or technician from inside the vehicle eliminating potential hazards such as explosive calibration gases. Leak indications are both audible and visual inside the vehicle at concentrations of less than 1 part per million (ppm) at 10,000 measurements per second. Data can be sent to a data logger or translated to a ground positioning satellite (GPS) system.

GT Series

Heath’s GT Series line of hand-held leak detectors are our most versatile instruments to date. The GT Series are multi-application instruments, satisfying the needs of service technicians within a single unit. Featuring seven modes of operation including: Leak Testing, Confined Space, Barhole Testing, Carbon Monoxide, Purge, Sniffer, and Pressure.

PS200 Series - Automatic Bump and Calibration Station

The multifunctional Auto Bump/Calibration station provides simple but intelligent testing and calibration of the PS200 portable gas detector.  Easy to use, with a durable, user friendly design, this automated test station offers high performance from a PC or stand-alone unit. The Auto Bump/Calibration station dramatically improves compliance record-keeping, efficiency and accuracy. Once the PS200 is placed in the dock it can be tested, calibrated and charged.  Extremely cost effective, the station requires no testing and minimal effort by users.

RMLD Intrinsically Safe (RMLD-IS®)

Our intrinsically safe Remote Methane Leak Detector (RMLD-IS) is an eye-safe laser-based natural gas detector (methane) that can quickly and efficiently detect leaks up to one hundred feet away allowing remote detection of difficult to access places such as; busy roadways, locked yards, underground piping, compressor stations, offshore platforms, plant/industrial inspections, gas processing plants, gas gathering, drilling sites, landfills, difficult terrains and more. When the infrared laser beam is transmitted from the launch port, some of the laser light is reflected back and converted to an electrical signal that carries the information needed to deduce the methane concentration. The RMLD-IS has proven to be a highly effective leak survey instrument, compared to flame ionization and similar equipment, but with the added advantage of remote detection. By design the RMLD-IS is capable of achieving significant productivity gains and drastically reduce operations and maintenance costs.

The RMLD-IS is also a game-changer in the environmental industry. The proof is in the numbers with thousands of units in use worldwide. The RMLD-IS’ remote detection allows users to satisfy increasing restrictions on air quality controls and increase success in reducing emissions from underground pipeline networks as well as above ground fugitive sources.

Anti-Static Measurement Bag

Heath has fabricated calibrated bags of anti-static plastic of various sizes with a special neck to fit over vent openings. This allows a low-pressure drop measurement of vented systems that may not tolerate significant backpressure. The use of these anti-static measurement bags or “Vent-Bags” has been calibrated in our laboratory against rotameter measurements and been found accurate to within ±10%. Given proper training while observing strict safety guidelines, this technique for measuring large natural gas leaks can be safe, expedient and affordable.


The Aqua-Scope water leak detector is the most field proven instrument on the market, with thousands in use worldwide. The Aqua-Scope operates by amplifying the frequencies (sound waves) generated by a water leak. Technicians can choose between the ground or direct contact microphone allowing maximum freedom of movement and superior sensitivity of the audio signals, thereby improving the detection and pinpointing of leaks from the surface.
