All our core values are important, but we cannot work by these core values unless we integrate safety into our culture and maintain a strong commitment to safety.

Whether at work or at home, we must integrate safety in everything we do. Safety is not a switch that can be turned on and off like a light. We must keep safety as a value that is always present and a way of life. We must strive for excellence in everything we do and believe we can achieve excellence by working safely as a team.

Doing the right thing means stopping work to correct unsafe behaviors and eliminating unsafe conditions. Not just for you, but those around you. Our safety culture is that “All injuries can and should be prevented.” To maintain this culture, we must demonstrate open and honest communication by reporting all incidents and believing they can be prevented in order to achieve our goal of continuous improvement.

Everyday, we must approach safety with a sense of urgency, for our safety, the safety of our co-workers and the general public. We must also be accountable for knowing and implementing the standards set forth in our safety handbook.
