Carolyn Heath Haag

On October 26, 2012, Carolyn Heath Haag was officially appointed President of Heath Consultants by the Board of Directors. Previous to her appointment she was the third generation Heath named as Chairman of the Board. In addition to being Chairman, Carolyn Heath Haag also became the first woman majority stockholder in Heath’s 79 year history.

Carolyn Heath Haag has always been actively involved in the corporation and is currently responsible for Heath’s Human Resource and Employee Services as well as her role on the Executive Management Team. Early in her career with Heath she began in the Marketing Department, overseeing the first customer service 800 number.  During that time, she went through a year-long Management Training Program gaining experience in all aspects of the company, including field experience in Canada.  For the past decade she has developed a strong Human Resource Department. Carolyn has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Ithaca College and has earned a certificate in Human Resource Management and Professional Development from Rice University. Carolyn plans to continue Heath’s progression of success, growth and technology advancement for generations to come.

Andrew Sitgreaves

Andrew (Drew) Sitgreaves, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) brings over fifteen years of financial and management experience to Heath Consultants Incorporated. Previous to his current position at Heath, Drew served as Heath’s Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining the Heath family Drew served as CFO to the oilfield services company, Wellsite and their pre-merger company Viking Oil Tools, a private energy services company. He has also held various financial and accounting positions in industries including; oilfield services, construction and retail. Drew started his career in public accounting where he lead and performed audits of both public and private companies.

Drew earned a Master’s degree in Professional Accountancy (MPA) at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Texas. He serves on the Recent Alumni Business Advisory Council (RABAC) at SFASU and has been a member of the AICPA and TSCPA.

Paul D. Wehnert

Paul is currently the Executive Vice President – Chief Marketing Officer. He joined Heath in 1980 as a Field Consultant when he was recruited from the State University of New York at Syracuse with a degree in Environmental Science. Paul has served in many roles throughout his career including Field Consultant, Operations Coordinator, Technical Services Consultant, Outside Sales in the Central Southwest and Mid-Atlantic Regions, National Sales Manager and since 2002 in the position of Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing. Paul has been instrumental in the development of technical advances in the fields of leak detection, odorization and pipe/cable locating technologies. He is a member of numerous industry associations that are dedicated to educating both public and private entities about the safety of the natural gas industry. He has presented papers and provided instruction for private, municipal and investor-owned utilities, Department of Transportation, Transportation Safety Institute, state regulatory agencies, numerous State, regional and worldwide gas associations/entities around the world.

Gerald V. Sims

Gerald V. Sims joined Heath in 2006 as a Sales Consultant, where he worked diligently to support and provide innovative solutions to our customers. He quickly promoted to the National Sales Manager, VP of Sales and into his current position as Vice President Operations, Damage Prevention. His responsibilities include directing Heath’s Services Business Unit Damage Prevention field service division including safety, training & development, quality assurance and field operations.

Throughout his expansive career in the gas and oil industry, Gerald has held several positions including field technician, operations management and sales. He serves on several gas association committees including the American Gas Association, Southern Gas Association (SGA) and the Texas Gas Association (TGA). Gerald is actively engaged in several other industry associations that are committed to educating both public and private sectors on the safety of the natural gas industry. He is a U.S. Army Veteran with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of North Carolina and a proud father of two sons.

Patrick Jacobs

Patrick Jacobs is a graduate of Michigan State University, School of Natural Resources. Patrick joined Heath Consultants in 2007, starting out as a Field Service Project Manager and quickly transitioned into a new role as Sales Consultant. Patrick’s success in that role, is what got him promoted to National Sales Director, and now his current position as Vice President of Sales. His responsibilities include directing Heath’s domestic sales team, collaborating with the executive and engineering teams on new product development, marketing, customer service and instrument repair.

Prior to joining Heath Consultants, he successfully ran and grew his family-owned landscape/construction company as President.  The entrepreneurial experience and the leadership skills he refined by growing and overseeing the day-to-day operations and finances of his company has given him valuable perspective in executing his executive duties at Heath.

Kevin Bendele

Kevin Bendele joined Heath Consultants in 2017 as Director of Engineering, focusing on new product development. With over fifteen years of bringing products to market from concept to commercialization, Kevin quickly positioned the engineering group for success by implementing industry best practices with an emphasis on speed to market. His unique research and development perspective coupled with his proven ability to collaborate and drive a cross company agenda has earned him the role as Vice President of PBU Operations in late 2019.

Before joining Heath, Kevin held a position as R&D Director at Smith & Nephew, focused on bringing electro-mechanical devices to commercialization that met customer needs. He led a global team of engineers to design IoT connected devices for established markets as well as low-cost product solutions for emerging markets. Kevin holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science degree in Management of Technology from University of Texas – San Antonio. He is a certified Project Management Professional registered with PMI and enjoys continuing education.

Ken Cowher

Ken Cowher joined Heath in 1992 as a Field Technician with a degree in Earth Sciences from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Since then, he has been promoted and held several positions within Heath such as Area Operations Coordinator, Area Manager, Field Services Manager, Director of Services and General Manager. Ken managed the Northeast Division for Heath in various positions for nearly twenty years and created a successful corporate culture that other regions in the company strive to imitate.

His success in creating and implementing processes put him at the forefront for his promotion in 2017 to Vice President of Process Improvement and Service Business Unit Support. Ken’s clear understanding of Heath’s values, corporate mission and excellent leadership skills made him the clear choice for another promotion to his current position as Vice President of Operations. Ken is responsible for all aspects of our leak field service division including safety, training & development, quality assurance and field operations.

Zachary Hunkele

In 2016, Zachary (Zach) Hunkele, Vice President Finance joined Heath as an accounting manager. From the beginning Zach began creating and implementing processes that put him at the forefront for his successful promotions to Director and present Vice President position. Zach brought several years of financial acumen to Heath in his previous accounting positions and holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University.

Carolina Hodgson

Carolina joined Heath in 2017, she was tasked with streamlining Heath’s Human Resources’ data management processes and management of the payroll platform migration in collaboration with other functions. Shortly after, she moved into the IT department, managing several enterprise applications and subsequently leading the team and developing processes aligned with best practices, strong security, and a higher level of service to all the operating departments.

Carolina quickly demonstrated world-class information technology knowledge and skills and established herself as an outstanding IT and cross-departmental project manager. She has focused on her IT customers’ needs and guided the establishment of dashboards and other vital IT services to help operations management and accounting improve productivity and to provide real-time field management data reporting to help improve the profitability of our damage prevention and methane detection divisions. She and her team have also substantially improved the security of our systems and have plans in place to achieve the highest level of data security.
